Journey through the heart of Western Europe on this fully escorted 14 day tour, travelling from the ruins of ancient Rome to the fairy tale lakesides of Switzerland and the storied streets of Berlin. Every detail is arranged for you, from private coach transfers to daily breakfast, so all you need to do is arrive and take it all in.

ITALY
Day 1: Departure Depart home country and set off for Rome, the first stop on your European adventure.

Day 2: Arrival in Rome Arrive in Rome and spend the afternoon exploring on foot, taking in Piazza di Spagna, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and Piazza Navona before transferring by private coach to your hotel.

Day 3: Rome in Full A full day dedicated to the Eternal City. Visit Vatican City to see St Peter’s Basilica and St Peter’s Square, then enjoy a panoramic tour past the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and Circus Maximus, with entry included to tour the Colosseum and explore the Forum itself.

Day 4: Florence Board a morning train to Florence, birthplace of the Renaissance. Visit the historic centre, including the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Ponte Vecchio and Piazza della Signoria, then wander the medieval streets and admire the exterior of the Uffizi Gallery. The evening is yours to explore freely.

Day 5: Pisa, Padua and Venice Travel by private coach to Pisa to see the Piazza dei Miracoli and the world famous Leaning Tower, then continue north to Padua for a stop near the Basilica of Saint Anthony. Arrive in Venice in the evening.

Day 6: Venice Discover Venice on foot and by boat. Visit St Mark’s Square, St Mark’s Basilica, the Doge’s Palace and the Bridge of Sighs, then walk the canal side streets to the Rialto Bridge before trading cobblestones for water on a traditional black lacquered gondola along the Grand Canal.

Day 7: Verona, Lake Garda and Milan Travel to Verona to see Juliet’s House, Piazza delle Erbe and the Roman Arena, then continue to Sirmione on Lake Garda for its medieval castle and lakeside views. Arrive in Milan in the evening.

Day 8: Milan and on to Switzerland Spend the morning touring Milan, including the Duomo, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and Sforza Castle, then travel by private coach through the Alps into Switzerland. Stop in Lucerne to see the Chapel Bridge and the Lion Monument before arriving in Zurich for the evening.
SWITZERLAND

Day 9: Zurich A full day walking tour through Zurich’s Old Town and along Lake Zurich, followed by a tour and tasting at the Lindt Home of Chocolate. Return to your hotel after a truly sweet day.
GERMANY

Day 10: Frankfurt and Erfurt Depart Zurich for Heidelberg and on to Frankfurt, continuing on to explore Erfurt’s medieval old town, the Merchants’ Bridge and Erfurt Cathedral. The evening is free for you to explore.

Day 11: Berlin Continue to Berlin for a panoramic tour taking in the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, Berlin Cathedral and the Unter den Linden Boulevard.

Day 12: Berlin in Full A full day in Berlin visiting the Berlin Wall Memorial, Checkpoint Charlie, Museum Island and Potsdamer Platz, then exploring Alexanderplatz, the Holocaust Memorial and the Tiergarten while learning about the city’s modern and historical significance.

Day 13: Free Day A free day to explore Berlin at your own pace.

Day 14: Departure Transfer to the airport for your flight home, carrying fourteen days of memories with you.
